Wards 1 & 2 Candidate Forum
On September 8th, 2025, the League of Women Voters, Downtown Neighborhood Association, and Salem Common Neighborhood Association welcomed the three candidates from Ward 1 and three candidates from Ward 2 to a joint forum at the Salem Waterfront Hotel. Thank you to all who came, all those involved in organizing the forum, Will Dowd for moderating, and Salem Access Television for recording the event.

Bridge Street (Rt. 107) Reconstruction
On Tuesday, the 29th of July, The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) held a virtual public hearing on the plan for the reconstruction of Bridge Street (Route 107) from just west of the Washington Street intersection to Flint Street. MassDOT expects the project to be funded with 80% federal funding and 20% state funding.
