Meet John
John is an active volunteer, leader, scholar, activist, musician, and lifelong Salem resident. With deep roots in the community, John is dedicated to making Salem a better place for all who call this place home. Having served on local and national nonprofit boards, John is a proven community-oriented leader.
Serving as a leader on the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Board of Trustees, John has worked on national initiatives to promote equity and inclusion. John is committed to fostering diverse and inclusive communities in Salem and beyond. This reinforces John's dedication to ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.
As Chair of the Salem Cultural Council, John has worked to support and fund artistic and cultural projects that enrich our city and strengthen its vibrant creative community. John's leadership has helped bring valuable resources to local artists, organizations, and events that celebrate Salem’s cultural heritage.
John’s campaign is centered on key issues that directly impact the quality of life in Salem. John is particularly passionate about improving public transportation in and around our city, decreasing traffic congestion, promoting a pedestrian-friendly community, and ensuring that affordable housing is available for all residents. John envisions creating a more accessible, sustainable, and thriving Salem.
