Enmienda de zonificación Salem B1

On Wednesday, 19 February 2025, the Salem City Council and Planning Board met with residents in a joint public hearing to discuss potential changes to the current B1 Zoning Ordinance. The proposed change would allow for two commercial uses in Salem's B1 districts: commercial recreation and indoor restaurants with service of alcoholic beverages.

This past Sunday, @uuneedham unveiled a memorial commemorating those enslaved in the 18th century. Thanks to the hard work of the committee members and Rev. Catie, this was an incredibly meaningful event! Thanks as well to all our special guests Chief Peter Silva Arrow, Darlene Troge, and Dr. Gloria Greis.

For over 250 years, Massachusetts has said “No Kings!” I was so proud to gather with so many on the Boston Common to show our continued commitment to resisting tyrant and oppression.

Unfortunately, I lost last night. I’m so grateful to all my friends, family, and neighbors for supporting me throughout my campaign. I really loved having the chance to connect more deeply with residents across Ward 2. I will continue to advocate for you. I remain rooted in service to my community.

Congratulations to Bill and Andrew on their preliminary election wins. Salem has some big challenges ahead and I hope both candidates are prepared to be communicative and open minded listeners while bringing creative solutions to the fore.

I will be supporting andrewworks4salem in the weeks ahead and I strongly encourage my supporters to do the same. Andrew’s vision for a more affordable, safe, climate resilient Salem aligns with my own. Andrew has shown a keen interest in connecting with residents across the Ward.
